From Miami To Tulum: Entrepreneur and Fashion Icon Cory Paul Martin Shares His Formula For Success
Entrepreneurship is a challenging yet deeply rewarding personal and professional journey that demands a unique combination of skills, mindset, and business instincts.
One of the key traits of successful entrepreneurs is their ability to think outside the box. These individuals are not afraid to take risks and try new things. They are always looking for innovative ways to solve problems and create value for their customers, partners and associates, as well as for society as a whole.
Entrepreneurs often get involved in multiple businesses across different areas as related to their own individual skills and abilities, they often come from a background of previous success in other professional endeavors and they are happier living life on their own terms – as long as they are accomplishing their goals - successful entrepreneurs rarely feel the need to conform to any external conditions; These people thrive on creative freedom and flexibility.
From Fashion to public relations and brand building.
Cory Paul Martin has always been someone who breeds friendship and attracts success. His magnetic personality and his honest generosity have made him a lot of friends. In his entrepreneurial journey, Cory has accomplished multiple seemingly impossible goals.First, he made a name for himself in the hypercompetitive modeling industry and became known as an acclaimed model, who would often find himself shooting in exotic locations around the world and making new personal and professional connections in the process; But his passion for entrepreneurship has always been a major part of his calling. By carefully examining and understanding market trends, Cory Paul Martin – a Miami resident with a love for all things Tulum – was able to reach a new stage in his professional career, and one that would allow him to apply his creativity, knowledge and skills to achieving his goals in the fast-paced world of top tier public relations and brand building by joining forces with one of the world´s leading marketing firms and completing his portfolio; In the quest for inspiration, new experiences and unforgettable moments, Cory returned to Tulum with the intention of helping launch and position brands across multiple categories.
“My travel experiences have truly been my classroom of life. With each new destination, I explore things that peak my interest and expose me to a more diverse cultural worldliness. A place near and dear to my heart is Tulum in Mexico. While living there for over a year, I became immersed in the rich Mexican culture; it has become a second home to me. The relaxed schedule allows me to fully enjoy each moment without any distractions; this was especially important as I had plenty of time to relax and learn about the local customs firsthand. Traveling is just second nature for me - exploring is what's inside of my blood!” -Martin affirms.
For the love of friendship and mezcal.
As someone who has routinely been around the glitz and glamour of some of the biggest events in the finest destinations and taken part in projects and shoots for leading brands around the world, Cory is not easily dazzled; What he looks for in the projects he takes part in is the authenticity factor. If there´s a great brand, Cory will make it shine – it´s what he does.At the iconic Maya hotel in Tulum, Mexico, a ceremony of love took place on New Year´s Eve; Guests gathered to partake in a one-of-a-kind wedding celebration for two of Cory´s dearest friends. David and Dr. Courtney Yurko, who are also the founders of T.O. Mezcal – a nouvelle spirit that has been brought into existence by the love of these people, a genuine desire to give back to local communities and the passion for understanding a rich culture while co-creating.
Cory has joined the brand as a partial owner and has helped architect T.O. Mezcal´s core brand identity by consulting on creative matters, developing commercial strategies and providing unique insights into the trends that are shaping consumer decision making in 2023.
After the official launch at the exclusive New Year´s party, the orders have been piling up. There has been limited availability but some of the most iconic establishments in Tulum report having secured one or two cases of the mysterious elixir. As Cory explained, the brand will eventually expand into the U.S. market but for now the main focus is growing organically.
Lessons in entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart, but with the right combination of skills and mindset, anyone can succeed. The entrepreneurs who possess a deep understanding of their industries and continuously develop a balanced skillset will be the ones who not only survive but thrive in the ever-changing business landscape. For Cory, everything started with wanting to share the best of everything with his friends and those close to his heart. If he fell in love with a particular jewelry brand or found a great clothing brand he would share it, if he discovered a unique med spa he would share it, if he saw potential in someone´s business or brand but identified that they needed help, he would put them in touch with his agency contacts and of course, when his friends needed help launching a new mezcal brand, he was there to help too.
Along the way, he discovered how to monetize these natural talents and personality traits as his own brand began to command more attention from fans and followers online; He then began to open his network of connections and bring people together in a seamless way and so, a new-found talent became the steppingstone for what would eventually become the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey.
Today, Cory balances business and pleasure, remaining an avid traveler and a fun-loving guy.
